The Coast Guard Academy needs you to help us find the next generation of men and women of character to lead the nation. The United States Coast Guard defends America by protecting the environment, saving lives, enforcing maritime laws, safeguarding our economic prosperity and securing the homeland. - Proposed Legislation: HR 2830
April 28, 2008
On April 24, 2008, the U.S. House of Representatives overwhelmingly approved H.R. 2830. Coast Guard Appropriations for 2008 is a part of this pending legislation.
As passed by the House, this pending legislation contains a number of sweeping changes that would affect the Coast Guard and directly impact us here at the Academy.
- CGA Professor Participates in Harvard Forum
April 18, 2008
Cmdr. Glenn Sulmasy, a permanent member of the law faculty at the U. S. Coast Guard Academy and a national security expert, participated in a forum titled "After Guantanamo Bay ... The Way Ahead" at Harvard University's John F. Kenney School of Government April 8.
