• Proposed Legislation: HR 2830
  April 28, 2008
  On April 24, 2008, the U.S. House of Representatives overwhelmingly approved H.R. 2830. Coast Guard Appropriations for 2008 is a part of this pending legislation.
  
  As passed by the House, this pending legislation contains a number of sweeping changes that would affect the Coast Guard and directly impact us here at the Academy.

• CGA Professor Participates in Harvard Forum
  April 18, 2008
  Cmdr. Glenn Sulmasy, a permanent member of the law faculty at the U. S. Coast Guard Academy and a national security expert, participated in a forum titled "After Guantanamo Bay ... The Way Ahead" at Harvard University's John F. Kenney School of Government April 8.

  Coast Guard Invesigative Service has completed investigating the two noose incidents which occured in the Summer of 2007.

• EAGLE Visits West Coast Summer of 2008

  America’s Tall Ship, the Coast Guard Barque Eagle, has announced the 2008 summer training schedule, including ports throughout the U.S., Mexico and Canada.

• USCGA Announces Spring Regimental Review Schedule

  The Coast Guard Academy’s Corps of Cadets are scheduled to march in five regimental reviews before the end of the 2008 academic school year.
